Friday, 9th September              Marvellous  Part biopic, part musical, part fantasy . Marvellous tells the funny, moving and surprising true story of Neil Baldwin, played by Toby Jones, who refused to accept the label of ‘Learning Difficulties’ and carved out an extraordinary life.

Friday, 14th October              Brooklyn -  Starring Julie Walters and Jim Broadbent in the tale of a young Irish woman, torn between a vibrant future in the USA and her old life in Ireland.

Friday, 11th November          Life is Beautiful - An inspired, award-winning story about the power of love and the human spirit. Set in Italy against the backdrop of World War II. Starring Roberto Benigni.

Friday, 9th December            Florence Foster Jenkins  Starring Meryl Streep, Hugh Grant and Simon Helberg. The story of Florence Foster Jenkins, a New York heiress, who dreamed of becoming an opera singer despite having a terrible singing voice. Brilliant performances throughout.

Friday, 13th January              Rabbit-Proof Fence - The true story of hope and survival. Two sisters and their cousin decide to escape from a state-controlled internment camp for Aboriginal children. They trek 1500 miles back home by following the rabbit-proof fence that bisects the continent.

Friday, February 10th                State of Play  Russell Crowe and Helen Mirren star in this outstanding thriller. Politicians are pursued by investigative journalist (Crowe) to uncover corruption and murder at the highest level of the USA government.

CHANGE OF DATE Friday March 17th                That Day We Sang  A tribute to Victoria Wood’s brilliant writing and music. Stars Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton. This film tells the story of Tubby and Enid, who as children, sang together on a record made by the Manchester Children’s Choir, forty years previously. Their chance meeting reignites an old friendship.

Running Time – 90 mins.

Friday, April 21st                   What We Did On Our Holiday  Starring David Tennant, Rosamund Pike and Billy Connolly. Doug (Tennant) takes his wife (Pike) and their three children to the Highlands to attend the birthday party of Doug’s father (Connolly) where it is soon clear when secrets have to be kept, the children are their biggest liability.
