Christmas Tree Festival

Amersham Christmas Tree Festival 2017

Friday 1st December - Wednesday 13th December

The popularity of Christmas Tree Festivals has grown year by years. This year, COTHA (Amersham Free Church, St John’s Church, and  St Michael and All Angels) have decided to put on such a festival in Amersham-on-the-Hill. It will be held at St Michaels and All Angels, 70 Sycamore Road, Amersham on the Hill, HP6 5DR.

We will have 12 artificial trees with stands for decoration and a set of battery-operated lights will be provided. Reservation of a tree is on a first come first served basis, by contacting the office by email  -, or downloading and completing a booking form.

St Michaels Church will be open from 10.00am – 3.00pm on Thursday 30th November to decorate the trees, and between the same times on Thursday 14th December to take them down. By reserving a tree you are agreeing to the above set up and take down dates and times.

We are asking for a minimum contribution of £15.00, of which £5.00 goes to cover costs, the rest goes to funds for local charities. We will of course be delighted if you are able to make a larger donation to the charities. There will be a collection box to raise further funds but entrance to the public is free.

Why get involved?

Not only is it great fun to do, it is a wonderful and seasonal way to raise money for local charities. It is a brilliant way to get involved with and help the local community, and a great way for the local community to find out more about you as each tree will be labeled with your organisation’s name! Let you imaginations fly, either decorate with bought decorations or have a go at making your own, it’s up to you! ( but please, no direct advertising).

Just Visiting

The trees will be on display from Friday 1st to Wednesday 14th December, while the church is open, 9.30am – 4.00pm. There will be no charge to come in, but donations to charity will be invited.

Light refreshments will be available.
